VISA 2019 Christmas Campaign #WhereYouShopMatters looking for people across Devon to shop locally
Visa’s 2019 Christmas campaign is urging people across Devon to show their local high street some love this festive season and shop locally.
Harnessing the popularity of Visa’s 2018 Christmas ad which saw retailers organically creating their own versions, this year Visa is inviting all independent retailers to create their own copycat videos of the advert in a competition which will see one winning retailer gifted a phenomenal prize – a prime-time Christmas advertising spot on national TV.
Lisa Aynsley, owner of Hotspur 1364 – one of the businesses who created a replica of last year’s ad – is backing the campaign for a second year running with a rallying cry to fellow independent retailers across the UK to enter the competition and show why #WhereYouShopMatters to them.
- Make your version of Visa’s 30 second Christmas advert to Queen’s Somebody To Love, featuring your Independent Business. You’ll need to sing over the original Queen version for this to be an eligible entry. This version can be found on available music licensing sites, which you may need a membership to access.
- Review and complete the form available at: www.visa.co.uk/whereyoushopmatterscompetition. This form will be required by all shortlisted entrants to prove that all required permissions and consents have been obtained for the advert to be used by the Promoter.
- Share the video publicly using the @VisaUK handle and #WhereYouShopMatters on your Twitter and/or Instagram.
