The Boathouse, is an award-winning, waterfront, seafood café, bar and takeaway,situated overlooking the Mayflower Stepsand a stone’s throw from Plymouth’s historic Barbican.

The Boathouse’s speciality is fish and shellfish, all sustainably caught, by its own day boats, The Sidney Rose and the Elin D. There’s also a selection of meat andvegetarian dishes and a little nipper’s menu,designed for younger salty sea dogs – allmade with fresh, seasonal produce.

You can experience wonderful, locally caught South West scallops in a variety of mouth-watering ways, at the recently launched,Scallop Shack at The Boathouse. The Scallop Shack is a newly designed, working unit, nestled within one of the fishermen’sarches of The Boathouse.

The scallop is a true gem among shellfish, its meat prized for its delicate taste and texture. From classic garlic and lemon to spicy, chilli and chorizo, they’ve chosen a variety of delicious recipes for the Scallop Shack menu. Try as a super tasty starter, light bight or go for the Shack Attack, a selection to share with friends, perfectly matched with awine from The Boathouse wine list!

Also found within The Scallop Shack, theBoathouse Fishmongers sells its catch, daily, straight from the boat, so you can take home the freshest local fish for supper. Thecatch will vary from day to day, but you canexpect anything from squid, crab and lobster to mackerel, sea bass, monkfish, gurnard,whiting and more.
