After an incredible 40 years of films at Looe Street, Plymouth Arts Centre’s cinema is moving to a new home at Plymouth College of Art’s main city centre campus on Tavistock Place. We’ve created a cosy new space for our audience to continue discovering the magic of cinema. This is really exciting, because it is giving us the opportunity to double the size of our auditorium, and at the same time retain our status as Plymouth’s only independent cinema.

Our new venue will open to the public on Friday 11 January 2019: we’ll fittingly celebrate two of cinema’s comedy giants with special screenings of Stan and Ollie, on the day of the film’s release in the UK. Our programme will continue to screen the best in independent British, American and World Cinema, with a few old classics for good measure. We’re also delighted to welcome the French Film Festival UK on the first week of February for a selection of the finest new French cinema.

Visit our website www.plymouthartscentre.org to see the full programme for January-February 2019. You can also pick up the printed guide at our Box Office and various locations around town.
